Empowering disabled women through bamboo craft training
Inside the workshop where disabled women turn a real trade into a real wage.

In our workshop, disabled women learn and practise bamboo craft as a real trade, not a token activity. The pieces they make are finished to a standard and sold, and every sale is a wage paid to the woman who made it.
For many of the women who come to us, skills were never the barrier. Access to dignified, paid work was. Bamboo craft training, alongside incense making, craft envelopes and sewing, is part of Divyang Swavlambi Udyog, our self employment initiative built to close that gap.
The goal is steady and simple: a woman who can earn, who is proud of what she makes, and who carries that confidence into the rest of her life.
