Shelter & care

Disabled Women's Shelter

A safe home where disabled women find security, dignity, and a path back to standing on their own.

Disabled Women's Shelter

For a woman living with a disability, the absence of a safe place to stay can mean exposure to neglect, exploitation and fear. Our shelter exists to remove that danger. It is a residential home built around the real needs of disabled women, where they can live with independence and without the threat of harm or discrimination.

Every resident is supported with the essentials of a stable life: a clean place to live, regular meals, access to medical care, and counselling whenever it is needed. Our staff are trained to understand the specific challenges each woman faces, and to help her rebuild the confidence that circumstances may have taken from her.

The aim is never dependence. The shelter is a starting point. Alongside care, women are encouraged to learn skills, take part in the workshop, and move at their own pace toward a life they lead themselves.
